There is no bridge too grand, too "wierd" or too small for Surespan Construction. As a general bridge contractor, we supply and erect anything from precast concrete culverts to complex, multi-span structures.
Bridge projects that do not fall under the highway, design/build or resource bridge categories are often labeled "unique". The company has extensive experience construcitng the following types of unique bridges:
Trestle Bridges: In previous years trestle bridges were commonly used by the resource industry to haul timber by train out of their remote locations. Now that logging companies in BC seldom use railways to transport their timber, trestle bridges are not regularly constructed by contractors. Since the decline of trestle bridges in the resource industry, Surespan Construction has built and refurbished a number of them for tourism and recreational purposes.
Trail Bridges: Building trail bridges is often seen as quite challenging due to various geographic, safety and environmental issues. Since Surespan Construction is experienced in overcoming these types of problems, we have successfully supplied and constructed numerous types of trail bridges, ranging from suspension to boardwalk.
Residential Bridges: Since the company's foundation in 1977, we have supplied and constructed an array of permanent and portable private residential bridges. Surespan Construction believes in working closely with the client to make sure the structure is visually appealing and fulfills each and every one of the client's requirements.
Pedestrian Bridges/Overpasses: Surespan Construction has supplied and erected an assortment of pedestrian bridges and overpasses, many of them catering to large volumes of pedestrian traffic. Our company understands the importance of providing safe, high quality, aesthetically pleasing structures for the public.
